In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Gurcharan recalled sleeping on railway platforms and bus stands during his disappearance. He said, ‘I could not go to a hotel. I did not even have money. I had very few clothes and I threw some away because I felt my bag was full.’

He revealed that ‘I used to wash my T-shirt in the Gurudwara and keep it to dry. If I did not have time, I would wear the same wet T-shirt and leave. I wore my pants for 17 days without washing them. Let us tell you that Gurucharan admitted that after leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, he was facing many problems and he got into debt. He said that now he wants to work and repay all his debts one by one.
